Improving support for a stronger third sector
Wokingham Borough Change Up programme aims to provide a better coordinated and more efficient infrastructure support service for the voluntary and community sector in the Wokingham Borough area. This is done by identifying and prioritising the needs of front line organisations in the area, then planning and implementing the improvement of sustainable services to meet those needs.
The consortium is made up of the following organisations:
- Berkshire West NHS
- Earley Crescent Resource Centre
- Social Enterprise Berkshire
- Voluntary Action Wokingham Borough
- Volunteer Centre Wokingham
- Wokingham BME Forum
- Wokingham Borough Council
- Wokingham Borough Voluntary Sector Forum
The way forward
The consortium works to:
- Meet identified local needs through partnership working and by engaging in a strategic role at the local level.
- Encourage the development of cross-cutting themes, be the voice of the local third sector (within its partnership remit), and advocate best practice solutions.
- Improve access to resources for the local third sector.
